The effects of herbal drug-acupuncture of Bletillae tuber ( HABT ) on the gastric ulcer induced by HCl-aspirin in rats

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : to investigate the effects of herbal drug-acupuncture of Bletillae tuber(HABT) on the gastric ulcer induced by HCI-aspirin in rats.
Method : Sprague-Dawley female rats were divided into 2 groups. A)Treatment group : treatment group were adminstered by injection of 0.2㎖ HABT into Wi-Su (B21) acu-points daily for 1.3 and 5 days. B)Control group : control group were given 0.2㎖ normal saline for injection for same days.
Result : in the HABT group, gastric mucosas were nearly recovered in 5 days model especially as compared with those in the control group by histologic observation(magnification:*60). The number of chief cells and gastrin & somatostatin immumoreactive cells at the gastric fundus and pytorus highly increased(P<0.01) in the 5 days model of the HABT group as compared with those of the control group. And the number of parietal cells at the gastric fundus remarkably decreased in the same model. Under electron microscope(magnification:*2,319) the protocoi of decay & defluxion of gastric mucosa were observed in the control group. On the other hand, the degenerations were very slightly observed in the HABT group.
